As part of her activities of international development consulting, Me Dekeuwer, partner in the D2K law firm, participated to a meeting organized by Business France between the Tian Fu New Area Investment Group and Vivapolis.
The Chinese investment group is managing the calls for tender for urban planning of the French-Chinese Tian Fu New Area eco-neighborhood. The project was officially launched in December 2011. It aims at rebuilding a residency, industrial and commercial urban modern center in an area of 2.3 km² in the scientific city of Chengdu (Sichuan province, China). It is in line with the process of sustainable development with intensive and green growth and seeks to attract the best international talents to meet its goals.
After presenting their project, the members of the eco-neighborhood promotion Chinese public company attended a presentation of the Vivapolis company members’ know-how and international experience. A very constructive discussion on prospects of developing for French companies and start-ups in China took place.
Me Dekeuwer, on the strength of her France-Asia bicultural experience (China, Korea) and of her international networks, presented the firms practice competencies in business international law.
In partnership with Me Li Chen, member of the Lex in IT GEIE, of which D2K Avocats is a founding member, Me Dekeuwer advises Chinese investors and companies in France, but also French companies that wish to export their know-how or products in China, gain a foothold in China through a liaison office, a branch, a subsidiary or establishing joint-ventures in partnership with Chinese shareholders.
