On February the 18, 2016, Me Dekeuwer participated to the session “Selling on line to Korean consumers” organized by the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI Paris) organized, on Thursday 18 February 2016, a session entitled “Selling online to Korean consumers”. The morning began with an introduction made by the South Korea’s advisor in CCI Paris. Then, Mr. BOUDET, chief executive director of the France-Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), presented the Korean market and its opportunities of development and Ms. KIM, CEO and co-founder of digital agency ASIANCE, ended with a specific presentation on e-selling in Korea. The afternoon was devoted to 45 minutes individual interviews with the different interveners.
Me Dekeuwer, on the strength of her France-Asia bicultural expertise (China, Korea) and of her networks in Korea, of her experience as a lawyer in Korea and as deputy director of the FKCCI, of which she is currently a member, answered the participants questions on legal aspects of Business to Consumer (BtoC) products and services e-selling in Korea, regarding in particular “The Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions, etc.”
The D2K Avocats Law firm drafted a summary note on the Law on online sales and e-commerce in Korea for the participants. Similarly, the firm’s presentation on “Doing business in Korea – Main legal aspects” was addressed to the session’s participants.
